How We Rate Prop Firms: The Funded Traders Club Methodology

Funded Traders Club Desk 6 min readOctober 14, 2026

Five weighted signals, zero sponsored scores. Here is exactly how a firm earns — or loses — its Funded Traders Club rating.

Every rating on this terminal starts with the same question: would we put our own evaluation fee into this firm?

Our editorial score blends five weighted signals. Payout reliability carries the heaviest weight at 30% — we verify withdrawal proofs, processing times and complaint patterns across public ledgers and trader communities. Trading conditions follow at 25%: spreads, commissions, execution quality and the honesty of the rulebook.

Value for money (20%) measures what your evaluation fee actually buys. Trader support (15%) scores response times and dispute handling, while longevity and transparency (10%) reward firms that have survived multiple market cycles without changing rules retroactively.

Visitor ratings are displayed separately and never inflate the editorial score. If a firm buys ads here, the score does not move. That firewall is the entire product.
